Partnership Themes
The work of the Northern Investing for Health Partnership is reflected through a number of overarching ‘partnership themes’. The themes provide a framework and focus for the broad range of local action being progressed through the Partnership’s Health Improvement Plan.
The Partnership themes are also reflected in the work of the Local Groups that support the implementation of Investing for Health within the Northern area.
PovertyTo reduce poverty in families with children.
Wider Theme - Poverty is an issue that cuts across and is advanced through the other four themes.
Living, Working and Environmental HealthTo improve our neighbourhoods and the wider environment; to reduce accidental injuries and deaths in the home, workplace and roads; and to offer everyone the opportunity to live and work in a healthy environment and to live in a decent, affordable home.
Health and Social Well-beingTo promote mental health and emotional well-being at individual and community level and enable people to make healthier choices.
Lifeskills, including Education and TrainingTo enable everyone, in particular young people, to develop the skills and attitudes that will give them the capacity to reach their full potential and make healthy choices.
Development of the PartnershipWider theme - Partnership Development is core to the progress of the NIfHP Partnership model and is reflected and supported within the other four themes.
